Fruits or Fruit juice- Choice is all yours
Eat whole fruit for better health benefit
Our new generation is way too wiser regarding their health related issues but they have no time for so many things good for their health. Their choice of eating healthy food is changing as they know about importance of food that will give better health benefits. For instance the whole fruit is a better choice compared to fruit juice as the whole fruit provides better nutrition value compared to fruit juice.
Importance of fruits
I am a vegetarian so I know the value of fruits as I depend on them for different health benefits. In fact, I can skip my lunch but I seldom miss on eating fruits for my lunch. I can even live on fruits for few days if there was nothing else available to eat. Fruits have wonderful effects on our body helping it fight against many diseases.
I am witness of the pace this world is changing at and the people are so busy in their daily life that they find too little time or their desires have grown to such a level that they find no time therefore depend upon packed fruits juice with different kind of ingredient but find no time to eat the whole fruit.
Whole Fruit is Healthy
I agree consuming fruit juice is healthy too but if you compare it with eating the whole fruit it will give you only half as much benefit besides putting you on several health related risks. Let’s begin with the efforts of chewing the fruit that you miss which is good for you facial muscles and exercise for teeth.
Let me explain the other point, when you eat a whole fruit like orange you feel full by eating one or two but when you go for its juice then you use at least three or four or even five depending upon the size of your glass. Now calculate the calories for yourself you supply to your system in the process that could be a source of fat and increase your weight.
If you drink packed fruit juice that comes with preservative or added sugar that poses a higher health risk so make it a rule to eat whole fruit which is a good source of vitamins and fibers besides providing safety to your kidneys and digestive system.
“One of the leading causes of obesity is the misbelief that, when it comes to juice, ‘100%’ means ‘sugar-free.”

There are several groups of fruits which contain different nutrients. Dietitians recommend two servings of fruits in a day but most of us do not eat even once. Fruits with fleshy enlarged receptacle and a tough central core containing the seeds like apple and pears are undoubtedly healthy and even can replace your lunch.
Drupe or stone fruits with a large stone inside for example plums, apricots, cherries, nectarines and peaches, different berries, melon, kiwi, pineapple and grapes are also very healthy.
Therefore eat as much fresh fruits as prescribed by the dietitians or your liking but try to avoid fruit juice consumption regularly. Do you know that fruit juice gives you more kilojoules, has no fiber, may harm your teeth and increase sugar level. So no fruit juice at all? But drinking juice for a change is okay. Drink it for a change but not on a regular basis.
