Ten facts about me? If someone challenged you to write ten facts about yourself could you do it? For me, writing ten facts is not a challenge. Writing ten fun facts might be a tad bit complicated. But ten facts? Easy peasy! Here goes.

Facts 1 Through 5

(Fact 1) Married (since 1976), with children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. I’m happy, thankful and have no regrets.

(Fact 2) Shy and quiet, but warm and friendly with a sense of humor. Not really a conversation starter but if you get me started we will likely engage in lively discussions.

(Fact 3) At the age of 8 years old, my mother registered me for 5th grade when she should have registered me for 4th grade and did not inform the School Officials of the error until AFTER the first report card was issued. When the officials noted that my grades indicated that the classes were not too hard for me, they let me stay on in 5th grade.

(Fact 4) Many people like the combination of Sweet and Salty. As a child, my favorite S&S treat was chocolate ice cream with plain potato chips crushed up and stirred into the ice cream.

(Fact 5) Former federal employee (career span 1981 – 1999): The Office of Personnel Management is the official record-keeping office for employees of the federal government. There was an OPM records breach back in 2015. Since it’s 2019 and nobody has ever contacted me and nothing out of the ordinary has happened to me, I choose to believe that the breach did not include my data and information. Either that or the person or persons involved in the breach saw no value in using any of my data. (LOL.)

Facts 6 Through 10

(Fact 6) A home business entrepreneur since 2007: Decided to work from home and one of my means of earning income is writing for sites like this one, i.e. RationalMind.club. It’s easy to work for yourself but it’s not so easy to pay yourself … consistently. But that fact does not discourage me.

(Fact 7) Two professional artists – one, honored as an International Contemporary Master AND the other a successful lawyer who had decided she had put her artist ambition on hold long enough – both allowed me to write and publish articles about them even though I was just a newbie freelance writer with no experience. Their acceptance and encouragement motivated me to continue writing online.

(Fact 8) As a newbie, I have broken the rules at well-known reputable publishing sites (unintentionally), begged for forgiveness, and was given a second chance. The site owners/administrators allowed me to return and try again. The moral of my story is: Don’t ever doubt the understanding and kindness of others.

(Fact 9) It is extremely difficult for me to write Haiku Poetry.

(Fact 10) My faith? A Christian, firmly rooted and will not be moved. Can be tolerant and flexible regarding many things except my faith. Bought the T-shirt and don’t want to return it for a refund or exchange. You can bury me wearing it! 🙂

That’s it! Ten facts about me. It wasn’t hard at all. In fact (another fact), I rather like this exercise because it gives me a chance to look back and look forward. Have you ever prepared a quick list of facts about yourself?
