Conquer Death Through Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra
Death is inevitable reality. Everything that takes birth has to die. Plants, animals, human beings all take birth, thus they die. If this is the truth, what does it mean by “Conquer Death Through Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra?”
Mantra is a sacred word/s or sentence/s in Hinduism and Buddhism. The mantras are words or lines dedicated to Gods and Goddesses that ask for favor or is simply a praise of Gods to which the mantra is dedicated. Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is dedicated to Hindu God Shiva, the God of destruction in Hindu Trinity. Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra or the Great Death Conquering Mantra in literal sense is a mantra that can help a person over come accidental or untimely deaths. The mantra does not make you put hold on your death, however, keeps you safe from sudden accidental death, young age death etc.
Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra is also known as Death Conquering Mantra, also known as the Tryambakam Mantra, is a verse of the Rigveda. It is addressed to Tryambaka, “the three-eyed one”, an epithet of Rudra, later identified with Shiva. It is chanted 108 times for maximum benefit.

We Meditate on the Three-eyed one.
Which is present in all of us like a fragrance.
May we be freed from the worldly attachments
Just like the ripened cucumber is freed from the creeper.
According to the myth, a certain child was born to a sage. The child was bright yet it was forcasted that he will die as soon as he reached 6 years of age. Then a certain sage asked he child to praise Shiva, the Lord who can control death by chanting Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra. Shiva then granted the boy eternal life. The boy was called Markandeya.
Shiva is also regarded as Yogi who founded yoga and meditation.
